Italics: Preserving Italian Immigrant Music Making

On this episode of Italics: On April 14 at the Center for Italian Modern Art (CIMA), Calandra’s Dr. Joseph Sciorra gave a talk about the need to preserve Italian sheet music. Such music has been sold for more than 100 years at E. Rossi & Co. in Little Italy. Film director Martin Scorsese, attending the lecture via Zoom, gave some opening remarks about the importance of these preservation efforts. After the presentation, Dr. Sciorra conducted an interview with Ernie Rossi, owner of E. Rossi & Co.
