Three Poet Laureates: Lorraine LoFrese Conlin, Maria Lisella, and Robert Savino

This event will bring together three Italian American New York poet laureates—each originally hailing from Jamaica, Queens—for an evening of verse and conversation. Poet Laureates Lorraine LoFrese Conlin (Collage, Local Gems Press, 2016) of Nassau County, Maria Lisella (Thieves in the Family, NYQ Books, 2015) of Queens, and Robert Savino (Inside a Turtle Shell, Allbook Books, 2009) of Suffolk County, will join us to share their writing as we celebrate this unique convergence of poetry, ethnicity, and region.
