Lecture: Editoria e lettura oggi in Italia

“Editoria e lettura oggi in Italia ” discusses book culture in Italy today, analysing the overall state of the pubishing world in Italy and its relationship to a reading public that is offered more and more alternatives to traditional modes of reading on paper.

Marco Santoro taught for more than three decades at the Universitu of Rome, “Sapienza” where he also was head of the Department of “Scienze del libro e del documento” and where he also directed the PhD program in the same subject matter. Today he teaches at the University “Suor Orsola Benincasa” in Naples. In addition to his numerous books, Professor Santoro created and directs the unique portal Italinemo, a site where the major journals in Italian studies are catalogued and inventoried.
