Rosangela Briscese is the Assistant Director for Academic and Cultural Programs at the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute, where she organizes the Institute’s “Philip V. Cannistraro Seminar Series in Italian American Studies,” the “Writers Read” author series, the “Documented Italians” film series, exhibitions, and other special events. She is the managing editor of the Institute’s journal Italian American Review. Briscese received her B.A. in English from Rutgers University and her graduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Information, specializing in archives and preservation. She serves on the board of trustees of the Flow Chart Foundation, which oversees poet John Ashbery’s archives and collections, the board of the New Jersey Folk Festival, and the Juglaris Publication Commission.
